Title "The most dangerous game"
Exposition: - Mr. Rainsford -Ivan -General Zaroff -Mysterious Mood -Takes place in the Caribbean Sea on a ship, at an island, and at the general's house.
Conflict: "no general, I will not hunt" (Connell 73). Mr. Rainsford does not agree with what the general is saying.
Rising action: "Buy why discuss that now? Three days and then we can discuss it over a bottle of neuve liquor" (Connell 74). "Throwing off his sack of food, Rainsford took his knife from its stealth and began to work with all his energy" (Connell 76). "He could stand where he was and wait. That was suicide. He could flee. That was past turning the table. For a moment he stood there thinking" (Connell 78).
Climax: "He heard the hounds. Then he leaped far out into the sea..." (Connell79). Rainsford jumped off a cliff in order to save himself from the general and the game.
Rainsford didn't die because of how skilled of a shrimmer he was and this shocked the general.
"Rainsford! How in God's name did you get here" (Connell 80)?
Resolution: "He had never slept in a better bed, Rainsford decided" (Connell 80).
Theme: man against nature, Fighting for what you believe in.
