  • American Army was overruled by the British.
  • Crossing the Jersey Shore to the Pennsylvania shore, to the Delaware River.
  • Washington's plan
  • In 1776, the American Army was overruled by the British multiple times.
  • Crossing the last river
  • They were trying to cross the river, but they had several problems. They had 2,000 men that they needed to cross. They also didn't have any way of transportation so they stole wooden boats.
  • Battle of Trenton
  • When General Hugh Mercer tells  him that that there supplies are low, Washington comes up with a plan to cross the river to have a surprise attack on the Hessian at Trenton.
  • Ending result
  • On a dark, cold night in December, the soldiers and General Washington managed to cross in one night, which allowed the troops to attack Trenton the next morning.
  • With the Hessians being hungover, after their big Christmas celebration, the hessians lost terribly to the continental army. The Hessian's wore yellow and had tall cone shaped hats. The Continental Army wore blue and also wore hats, they just weren't as big.
  • In conclusion, George Washington and his troops stole the Hessians valuable weapons, after there win. They stole cannons, gunpowder, guns, swords
