In the Constitutional Convention i would stand with the Republicans, because they believed in many great things such as: reciprocation, people trying to help govern because where America was so new and even today its the Presidents job to me is to listen to the people of America and listen to what they want and that goes back to the 1800's as well.
"I think our governments will remain virtuous for many centuries, as long as they are chiefly agricultural; and this will be as long as there shall be vacant lands in any part of America" (Bill of Rights)
Slaves i believe contributed to the Constitution and what America is really about today. People faught like they did back then and even though we battled against slavery and finally was successful i believe we had to put our "Country First"
Which path are you going to take? The path of the Republican party or the path of Federalism (Democrat)? Republicans believe similar how we do now in the 21st century. Democrats back then had restrictions on freedom and press, which could put a harm on America. Republicans was more stricter as in law abiding and other rules that went on.
The Republicans to me from what i read was pro war as in aspects that none wanted to be in a war and that stood out to me as well. Its obvious of how different Democrats and Repubicans really are just turn on a news channel and you will know.
How would you stand back in the 1800s would you vote for the Republican party or the Democrat? What is your thoughts are you going to put your "COUNTRY FIRST"? What did you gain from reading the Bill of Rights?
