  • Can you come with us on a camping trip?
  • The cons of taking marijuana?
  • ?????
  • You wanna have more fun?
  • I'm having so much fun!
  • Are you going to have?
  • However, my character would also be weighing the cons of using marijuana. She would be thinking if she declined using the drug, how would she justify her answer. She would be thinking of excuses for not accepting, what her friends would think and the consequences of taking drugs.
  • My character acted this way as she had to chose between two options when everyone was offered marijuana. When she was deciding, she was also thinking that if she accepts the drug she would experience the short term effects, and if she continued to use she would experience the long term effects of taking marijuana. My character would then realise that declining using marijuana would be better for her to avoid the short and long term effects of taking drugs.
  • The type of pressure my character is exposed to is direct pressure. Direct pressure being when you are required to make a decision one way or the other because someone has approached you to make a choice. This pressure is evident in my scenario as my character is required to make a choice as to whether she should accept or decline taking marijuana. This is because her friend asked her directly if she wanted to use.

  • When my character thinks about the pros of taking marijuana, she is thinking that she will not be teased because she is accepting it and not denying using, so she would seem cool to the people around her at that moment. She could also tell herself that it would be a one-time use; however, this can often lead to addiction.
