  • It is the force exerted on a surface by the air above it as gravity pulls it to Earth. Atmospheric pressure is commonly measured with a barometer. In a barometer, a column of mercury in a glass tube rises or falls as the weight of the atmosphere changes. ... Atmospheric pressure drops as altitude increases.

  •  The density is the mass per unit volume of Earth's atmosphere. Air density, like air pressure, decreases with increasing altitude. It also changes with variation in temperature and humidity.
  • The troposphere is hotter near the Earth's surface because heat from the Earth warms this air. As the altitude increases the number of air molecules decreases, thus the average of their kinetic energy decreases. The results is a decrease in airtemperature with an increase of altitude.
  • BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
