Storyboard Text

  • Ophelia: Act 1, Scene 3
  • "Perhaps he loves you now, and now no soil nor cautel doth besmirch the virtue of his will, but you must fear"
  • "Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven whiles himself the primrose path of dalliance treads and recks no his own rede."
  • Ophelia: Act 2, Scene 1
  • "Mad for thy love?"
  • "My lord, I do not know. But truly, I do fear it."
  • Ophelia: Act 3, Scene 1
  • "I did love you once... You should not have believed me"
  • "Indeed, my lord, you made me believe so"
  • Laertes, Ophelia's brother, tries to warn Ophelia that Hamlet is just like any other boy who wants to just flirt without anything too serious. He tries to tell Ophelia to watch out, but Ophelia responds by saying practice what you preach.
  • Ophelia tells her father, Polonius, of the encounter she just had with Hamlet and why she is so distraught over it.
  • This scene shows us the encounter between Hamlet and Ophelia. It is a confusing time because no one quit knows where Hamlet's head stands. Ophelia wants the best for Hamlet, but doesn't know how to help.
