This is Timmy. It is early on a sunny Tuesday morning. Any other week, today would be just another Tuesday. But today is different. Today is special. Today is...
Timmy's second birthday! Today, Timmy turns two. The only present he wants this year is a new shiny bike.
Timmy's family is very busy getting ready for his birthday party.
Timmy's mother was busy in the kitchen cooking a nice breakfast for him. His older sister Taylor turned on the morning news for the family to watch. Then she heard Timmy run D O W N the stairs.
"Happy birthday!" Everyone shouted. "Thanks!" Timmy said. "Did I get a bike?" "Not this year." Said his mother. "Maybe when you're older." Timmy was sad that he couldn't get what he wanted for his birthday.
Timmy and Taylor sat down to watch the news. Today, the newsman was talking about toddlers. "He's talking about you Timmy!" Taylor said.
"When kids turn two years old, they like to act out in order to get what they want and it works." The newsman said. "This age is called the Terrible Two's." "If that can get me what I want on my birthday, then I'm gonna try it!" Timmy thought.
