Supply and Demand By: Hannah Burns and Tom Bolt
My, am I parched. How much is a bottle of water?
A man named Harold walks into his local store in hopes of quenching his thirst.
WHAT IN TARNATION?!
Due to the recent hurricane warnings, the water is up to $10.
Harold is flabbergasted to learn the price of water. He has purchased water at this store before and knows he usually only needs around $3.
Sorry man. The demand for water is so high due to the hurricane that the supply is decreasing. This causes the price of water to increase.
That makes sense. Economics at its finest! I will go home and get some more money.
Harold trudges back to his apartment in hopes of finding cheaper water.
