It may not seem like it, but plants and sticks can actually be harmful to streams and lakes by depleting the oxygen in the water.
A person leaf blowing leaves and grass into a lake can cause harm and pollute it.
Those plants are often sprayed with pesticides and other chemicals.
These materials are often picked up by storms and can actually cause water pollution.
The material can clog storm drains which will also cause flooding.
So remember… “Don’t blow it”
