Storyboard Text

  • Here's to my love! With a kiss, I die.
  • Romeo says his final goodbyes to Juliet before drinking the elixir he acquired.
  • Romeo?
  • Juliet wakes and finds Romeo unconscious and assumes he is dead.
  • How did this happen? You were not supposed to die. I shall join you in death so you will not be alone.
  • Juliet sees the gun Romeo brought with him and kills herself.
  • Romeo wakes up as Juliet takes her final breath, realizing the poison hadn't worked.
  • Earlier that night, in the apothecary.
  • Romeo went to the apothecary looking to buy poison. However, the apothecary accidentally gave him a strong sleeping mixture, not the deadly poison which lay directly beside it and shared its colour. Not taking enough of it caused him to wake shortly after taking it.
  • Please, sir! I need your strongest poison now!
  • Drink all of this golden mixture and you shall never wake up.
  • And so as Juliet lay dead in his arms, Romeo wept for his wife. He could hear Prince Escalus, his parents, and the Capulets approaching the crypt. He said his goodbyes once again and slipped out through the back, knowing he would get framed for Juliet's death. Romeo traveled back to Mantua, where he remained for many years.
  • Oh no, what has she done?! Why didn't the poison work? Poor Juliet. This was not supposed to happen!
