Storyboard Text

  • Order of Operations
  • Order of operations is another way to solve long math sentences.
  • This process is done in 6 steps, parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition and subtraction. this is also known as PEMDAS.
  • A way to remember this process is "Please excuse my dear Aunt Sally."
  • Don't worry, you do not have to do everything in this exact order. multiplication and division depends on what comes first. It is the same with addition and subtraction.
  • Now that you know how to do order of operations, I think it is time for an example.
