The Tundra is located at the top of the world, In a place called the North Pole. The Tundra covers nearly a fifth of earth.
In the Tundra there is almost no precipitation and so it is considered a desert, the tundra only receives 6-10 inches of precipitation annually. The average winter temperature is around -34 degrees
The tundra has many animal species but struggles to grow vegetation but in some spots it can grow plants. Some of the animals that the tundra biome contains are Mountain goats, sheep, and marmots. Some of the plants the tundra can grow is moss and hardy flora.
