Storyboard Description
A dystopian society where in an effort to combat the epidemic of fake news and the threat of a 'post-truth' world, an oligarchy deems lying a crime punishable by death. Those under 18 instead have their lies imprinted on their skin.
And it just so happens that one person happens to be a very good liar...

- What a coincidence!
- Most peculiar...this has been happening my whole life...what is wrong with me?!
- *no pain occurs and no VERIFIERS come*
- I am happy *blatant lie*
- Scene 1: A liar is sought out during Science class and the students watch almost dismissively. Introduce characters and overall atmosphere.
- Scene 2: It revealed during a textiles class that the main character, Lyre, is able to lie without persecution however she does not know how.
- DISCLAIMER: THE CHARACTER IS VOMITING NOT URINATING
- Scene 2: Her best friend Calum, the only one who knows she can lie, is tracked by the VERIFIERS despite the fact he has not lied and is punished.
- Scene 4: While hiding in the library, Lyre and Calum realise that someone is manipulating with the technology used to control the population.
- Scene 5: Lyre plans a confrontation while Calum recovers
- Scene 6: Lyre is assaulted by the VERIFIERS and is strangled using her own scarf, that she had made-connects to the extended metaphor. She loses consciousness. Ends on a cliffhanger.
