  • Benjamin O. Davis Jr was born December 18,1912 and died July 4, 2002 from Alzheimer's disease. He was an American United States Air Force general and commander of the World War II Tuskegee Airmen.
  • Benjamin O. Davis Jr was awarded with many medals while serving the United States Army and the United States Air Force. They were the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal, the Army Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star, the Legion of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
  • Benjamin O. Davis Jr was the first African-American general officer in the United States Air Force.
