adult: If students were to study at night instead of during the day, they won't get as good of a grade as those who studied during the day. So if two different students study at different times of the day, then the student who studied at night won't get a good grade because they'll be tired and stop studying. To test my hypothesis I'll have one student study at night and the other during the day.
My independent variable is the time of day. My constants for the procedure are the amount of time they study, what class they're studying, and the quality of what they're studying. The dependent variables are if they have the test on the same day, how well they've prepared for the test before, and if they study at all.
the student that is studying at night is having more trouble trying to study than the student who studied during the day.
