"Let me tell you a few good things I discovered during that awful time"(P83). Even though he was going through a hard time he was still able to find out things about himself which made him in general happier.
"I love my life! I love my husband! I love Montana!"(P99). He wants you to realize that if you're not happy then you need to go out and find yourself and what you want for yourself.
"Who cares if a man wants to marry another man? All I want to know is who's going to pick up all the dirty socks" (P155). He wants us to realize that if you know yourself and you're happy with yourself you won't want to judge others.
