Storyboard Text

  • When the Indian Independence Act took place Kashmir had a decision to make, it was whether join India or Pakistan. With the decision of the local ruler Kashmir was now part of India.
  • The people of Kashmir wish to not be apart of India preferring that they gain their independence or be a part of Pakistan.
  • We do not want to be part of India!
  • Soon fights began to break out between the Indians and the people of Kashmir. It was obvious that they did not want to be part of Indian no longer.
  • Soon a ceasefire was made between Pakistan and India for the land of Kashmir, even though it is a very fragile ceasefire with both sides still firing into each other.
  • Recently an attack on an Indian Army base have sparked the once again heated problem between India and Pakistan which might mean that it won't end unless Kashmir gets their freedom or at least leaves India.
  • And that is the conflict of Kashmir will it ever be peaceful there again only time will tell but it is important to know the events that take place so that we can learn from it.
