  • hey Im going to be explaining how to add and subtract rational numbers.
  • rational number is any number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction p/q of two integers, a numerator p and a non-zero denominator q
  • The concept is any number that can be written as a fraction.
  • In my own words a rational number is a number that can be written in a fraction.
  • for example when you 106/40 dived by 2 = 53 /20  = 2 13/20
  • Another example is (-14) x (-7) = 98 any positive times a positive is a positive negative times a negative is a negative and negative times a positive is negative
