Nika revolt, took place over the course of a week in Constantinople in AD 532. It was the most violent riot in the history of Constantinople, with nearly half the city being burned or destroyed and tens of thousands of people killed.
In the Eastern Orthodox Church, was a Byzantine emperor from 527 to 565. During his reign, Justinian sought to revive the empire's greatness and reconquer the lost western half of the historical Roman Empire.
The Siege of Constantinople in 626 by the Persians and Avars, aided by large numbers of allied Slavs, ended in a strategic victory for the Byzantines. The failure of the siege saved the Empire from collapse.
One of the greatest plagues in history, the bubonic plagued, was devastating pandemic resulted in the deaths of an estimated 25 million to 50 million people.
Constantinople fell to the Turkish Empire on April 6th, 1453.
