Hello, my name is Genghis Khan. I am the emperor of China, and the leader of the Mongol Horde. We invented the stirrup for a horse, which greatly contributed to our success of conquering many lands within the Asian Steppe. The lands there were easy to conquer due to the elevation advantage.
The Mongols utilized a nomadic lifestyle, and extremely impressive military tactics to help them win most battles, only losing a very small amount. Genghis Khan invented tools to further improve their ability to conquer, and win even more battles. We rarely lose, and we like to keep it that way! We won many battles, and unified China!
The Mongols did succeed in all of their conquests, except for a few, and one major one, their battle against Japan. They instantly lost, but not by soldiers, by typhoons, strong winds that decimated their ships, and killed many, many troops; crippling their army size, and requiring them to actually retreat to avoid further loss.
The conquest of the Mongols had many positive aspects, such as: a Mongolian postal system (much like ours today), great technological, cultural, and military advances in society, more extensive trade networks, and tolerances of other religions. These were very prosperous aspects for a growing nation.
Kublai Khan was a grandson of the late Genghis Khan, and he ruled just as well, if not better. He founded and ruled the Yuan Dynasty, and drove the Mongol horde to victory and success. He unified China once more, conquered the Song Dynasty and Dali Empire, and was a fair, just ruler who loved to see his country prosper. Lived from 1215-1294.
