Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Lets's go to the creek today Narcissus! I think it will be fun for the both of us.
  • Narcissus and his twin sister were inseparable. They did everything together.
  • That sounds like a great idea. I am so glad that I have someone like you to spend time with.
  • Conflict
  • One day Narcissus can't seem to find his sister.
  • I really wonder where my twin has gone. I should probably go out and look for her. The creek seems like a good starting point.
  • Rising Action
  • When he gets to the creek, he looks all around for her.
  • Maybe she is here at the creek. We always used to spend time in this exact spot. Why would she ever go missing?
  • Climax
  • There is my sister! She must be drowning, so I have to save her! I just can't seem to get her out of the water. I must try my best, for her life may depend on it.
  • Falling Action
  • Meanwhile on Mount Olympus...
  • I really feel bad for this Narcissus. Do you have any idea of what we could do to make him stop reaching for his own reflection?
  • Maybe we could turn him into a flower. That would keep him from reaching for nothing.
  • Resolution
  • That should do the trick. Hopefully he will be happier as a flower.
  • When he looks down into the water, he sees "his sister" looking back at him.
  • This is why these flowers are called Narcissus flowers. They tend to sprout near creeks and rivers, and they lean over the water just like Narcissus did.
