Storyboard Text

  • Montresor comes across Fortunato in the town during Carnival.
  • Montresor explains his knowledge of a hidden vat of expensive liqour.
  • Montresor leads Fortunado down some moldy tunnels to the Cask.
  • Are you sure you want to continue?
  • I'm fine, it's just a cough.
  • I gave the Montresor a bleak and weary demeanor because it will show how tired and crazy he is. The Fortunado is dressed in a jester costume, as he is in the story. He is wearing bright colors to show that he is happy and celebrating Carnival.
  • Montresor begins to bind and enclose Fortunado.
  • This scene is about their poses. Fortunado is exclaiming because he doesn't believe the Montresor. He doesn't believe that there is actually a Cask of Amontillado. Montresor is wearing a smug expression because he isn't being truthful about the said Cask.
  • Fortunado dies, and Montresor feels a small pang of regret.
  • Montresor is wearing a ambiguous expression to show that it is false emotion. Fortunado is wearing a determined expression, to show that he wants to go on. There is a slight focus on the background and Fortunado to make the scene seem shaky.
  • Fortunado reamins in the tunnel while Montresor lives in his house.
  • I gave the Montresor an angry expression to show how fed-up he is with Fortunado insulting him. The Fortunado has his hands bound and a worried expression to him. There is a sepia tint on the background to show how scary the scene is.
  • Amontillado?
  • I gave Montresor a petty face, because he only feel a small amount of sorrow. It basically says "Sorry, not Sorry." Fortunado is dead, so I gave him a sepia tint and closed his eyes.
  • Fortundao!
  • Montresor has lost his sepia tint because he is happy now. I made his shirt brighter to show how happy he is. Fortundao is dead, and has been for 50 years, so I made everything on him darker. I also left the sepia tint on him to make it seem old.
