I don't feel well
Before penicillin was discovered people could die if they had a very severe cold. Penicillin was discovered by Alexander Fleming.
In St.Mary's hospital in London Alexander Fleming discovered an antibiotic named penicillin. Alexander Fleming had been growing some bacteria in a few agar plates.
Fleming accidentally left one of his agar plates out on the lab desk. When he found it there was mould had grown on the plate but the bacteria was getting killed in the plate in certain places...It was a new discovery.
He found out that the mould was called Penicillium notatum.
Later two people named Howard Florey and Ernest Chain decided to do some more work on penicillin at Oxford university. They improved on Fleming's invention. They teted the penicillin on rats and humans.
The experiments were successful ad they discovered that penicillin can destroy many bacteria and virus. Now penicillin is one of the most useful drugs to use these days
