  • Who rules it? Are there senators?
  • No. The royal family does.
  • What about the citizens? Do they have any power?
  • Lizzie and Jake meet on a snowy October morning at Fox Creek High School.
  • Not much. The central government is in control.
  • Oh. What is an example?
  • Lizzie is taking Government this year.
  • Great Britain is a monarchy.
  • I have been there before.
  • She explains to Joe who has the power in a monarchy.
  • And what would an advantage be to that form of government.
  • Well, people are able to make non-government decisions, such as jobs, religion, lifestyle, etc.
  • Lizzie further explains how citizens do not have much control over government decisions.
  • Great Britain is a well-known monarchy.
