  • An Ethnic group is a group of people who share a common culture, traditions, foods, and language.
  • A Religious group means belief in same Gods and common sacred texts with a specific set of rules of how to live.
  • Arabs: They speak Arabic. They live in Southwest Asia and parts of Northern Africa. They practice Sunni Islam and Shi'a. Their history is decedents of Abraham through his son.
  • Persians: They speak Farsi. Their religion is Shi'a Islam. They live in Iran. Their history is Indo-Europeans from central Europe and southern Russia.
  • Kurds: Their religion is Mulim. They speak Kurdish. They live in Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. Their history is medes, an ancient iranian people.
  • An example of a Religious group would be Christians. An example of Ethnic groups would be African Americans.
