Storyboard Text

  • Nanook and the elder Tizoc are now conversing about Nanook's vision quest. He is explaining to Nanook that he must fast for four days and four nights, in order to make this vision quest complete and that he must pray to the spirits in order to find his purpose in life, through his vision.
  • Nanook arrives at the site that the elder has sent him to take on his vision quest at and once he arrives, Nanook begins to pray to the spirit, to show him his true purpose in life.
  • Nanook falls asleep and the spirit has answered his prayer. The spirit will now insert the vision into his dream, to show him the true reason of his life and why he was put on this earth.
  • Through this vision, Nanook is a wolf and behind him is his clan. Metaphorically speaking, he is represented as a wolf because the male wolf is commonly the alpha, meaning that Nanook is destined to lead his clan and protect them with all of his skills, trust and leadership.
  • After seeing his vision from the spirit and finding out his true purpose in life, Nanook returns to his village, after four days, to speak to the elder about his dream.
  • After returning to his village, Nanook explains to the elder Tizoc about his experience and Tizoc, which remains to be the same as his interpretation. After this, Nanook becomes Tizoc's apprentice and his journey to his purpose on earth begins
