  • Phase 2: Francis Scott Key and the Bombardment of Fort McHenry
  • James Madison presidency
  • James Madison tells the United states citizens about what he plans to do when he is president. Madison is going to try hard with what George Washington said about debts and foreign affairs .
  • Impressment of sailors and Native American resistance
  • British soldiers tell the sailors that the sailors have to come with them. the native Americans help Britian take down america.
  • Phase 1: Battles in great lakes/ Canada
  • The united states and Britain were fighting over the great lakes and Canada. The British ended up wining this battle but the united states captured and burned one of Britain's ships.
  • The British Bombarded Fort McHenry . the British attacked for 25 hours. A women rushed back in to the fort to save a picture of George Washington. Francis Scott Key was inspired and decided to write a poem. later this poem became the star spangled banner and the national anthem.
  • you are not gonna take New Orleans from us.
  • Phase 3: Andrew Jackson war hero and battle of New Orleans.
  • Andrew Jackson prevented the British navy from seizing New Orleans. The British tired to seize New Orleans to end the war between the united states and Britain. The British convinced the Spanish to sell them all there land in the united states. Then there was a treaty signed that was called The Treaty of Ghent.
  • Effect of the War
  • One of the causes for the industrial revolutions was because we had just ended war Britain. Another effect of the war was more patriotism towards the United States. The united states wanted to make trade profitable so they needed to upgrade there productions ways. Growth of factories also changed.
