The coyote and eagle were brought together because of hunting. The setting of this story is a pueblo. A Pueblo is a Native American land in the United States. The coyote was hunting on a land called Pueblo.
The eagle and coyote like to hunt when its day time out. If it gets dark the coyote and eagle get confused . next slide will be dimming because it will be getting darker and darker throughout the day.
The Coyote and Eagle were confused why it was getting darker and darker outside. The eagle was wondering why the coyote cant fly and its hard for them to hunt when there is no light.
The Eagle and Coyote were looking for light to hunt. There were a bunch of Kachinas that had light. The Eagle and Coyote were planning to borrow the lights but they might not let them so they waited until the Kachinas fell asleep.
The Eagle and Coyote stole the light and were going home with it. The Coyote wanted to hold the box and the Eagle said no. He kept begging so Eagle gave it to him. They wanted to see the light.
The Eagle and Coyote opened the box as they went home. Soon as they opened the box the sun and moon went straight up in the sky. Then they had all the light they needed to hunt.
