  • During the Lend-Lease Act, the US sent billions of dollars' worth of aid in the form of weapons, food, tanks, and airplanes.
  • Factories ran for 24 hours to produce tanks, ships, jeeps, guns, and ammunition and turned their knowledge of mass production toward the production of war supplies.
  • The United Stated needed millions of soldiers at this point in time. Americans were urged by posters and advertisements to "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."
  • German firebombs set most of Stalingrad on fire. German supplies started to run low but Hitler still had his troops fight because he wanted to capture Stalingrad.

  • The Japanese fought and conquered many nations throughout the war. Some of the nations that were conquered were located in the Pacific.  
  • Pearl Harbor was bombed by Japan because Japan and the US couldn't compromise. 
  • Close to fifty nations endorsed a treaty that was sponsored by the US. This means that the lasting impact of World War ll is that there is calmer relationship between nations.
