On January 19, 1905, a baby girl was born in Killeen, Texas. The baby girl's name is Oveta Cup Hobby.
Oveta Culp Hobby briefly attended Mary Hardin Bayor College for Women and attended law classes at South Texas of Law and Commerce. She ended up never graduating from neither of the schools. Although, later on she studied law at University of Texas Law School.
Soon enough, Oveta Culp Hobby became the first Director of the Women's Army Corps. The shortage in men in the army had created the Women's Army Corps, allowing women to be a part of the army corporation.
Even though Oveta was the Director of Women's Army Corps, she also had a political life. Oveta became the first United States Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare.
Also part of Oveta Culp Hobby's political life, Oveta became chairperson, she write articles about politics and also many other topics as well.
On August 16, 1995 in Houston, Texas, Oveta Culp Hobby died.
