  • As you can see here, this is an example of Roman architecture. Early Roman architecture heavily borrowed from Greek architecture. However they quickly adapted their own styles.
  • Many of the Roman buildings were built from brick and marble.
  • How did the Romans bring water, from faraway places, into their cities?
  • The Romans built aqueducts to bring a flow of water from faraway places, into their cities. This water is used to supply public baths, latrines, fountains, and more.
  • Much of today’s official buildings in the US was from Roman architecture!
  • The Romans used a material called concrete to build large structures covered with domes. Concrete was easier and lighter material than stone.
  • Examples of famous Roman architecture and structures would be the Colosseum and the Pantheon!
