Storyboard about short story
Exposition: Whitney and Rainsford on a boat on their way to the Island to go hunting. ''Do you think we've passed the island yet?'' (Connell 62)
Inciting incident: While on their way to Rio, Rainsford hears 2 gun shots and leans over to figure out where they came from but accidentally falls over. Rainsford is soaking wet in the water and swims to the island. "He struggled up on to the surface and tried to cry out..."(Connell 63)
Rising action: Rainsford finds a "palace" on the island and is frightened because the man (Zaroff) was holding a revolver to his heart then her finds out that the owner knows him from being a hunter. ''Im no robber, I fell of a yacht." (Connell 65)
Climax: Rainsford runs away from Zaroff's hounds. '' He heard the hounds. Then he leaped far out into the sea...." (Connell 80)
Falling action: While Rainsford barely getting away from Zaroff's hounds, Zaroff thinks Rainsford has fallen dead and goes back to his home only to find that Rainsford was hiding in his home. ''How in God's name did you get here?'' (Connell 80)
Resolution: "He had never slept in a better bed, Rainsford decided" (Connell 80)
