Peasants from the renaissants

Life as a peasant is tough and full of challenges. We are worked from sunrise to sunset ,and the little land that we have is heavily taxed and only provides enough food for other people.
Growing our crops takes up most of our time. We work day to night just to ensure a significant amount of food for our families.
Here in the town market we can sell our crops to local families and towns people. The money made goes to keeping up with our taxes and paying our rent.
As the lord of this land I find that it is important to keep raising the taxes to keep the people from leaving. Other lords and ladies that once offered cheaper rent are now raising their prices too.
Our low wages for our labor over our crops, make it nearly impossible to keep up with our taxes. The never ending increase in our landlords taxes put a constant strain over how we spend our money
In the wintertime when the growing is bad, but we must still pay for rent many of us scour the land foraging for any remains of food. As the winter comes to an end and spring draws near we all hope for a good harvest the next year.
