Siege of Vicksburg
We are going to cut you in half

This battle happened in Vicksburg Mississippi. It was won by siege which the north were able to take control of the Mississippi River. Confederacy was cut in half.
This war was in Atlanta Georgia. The north led something called Sherman's March to the Sea and burned Atlanta to the ground and African Americans followed. This crippled the south and hurt their chances of winning.
Petersburg falls and confederate government flees Richmond. The south surrendered at Appomatox Court House and the south can keep horses and small firearms. This was the end to the civil war and it ended with dignity.
