The Great Mother's bones are stones!
King Deucalion and his wife, Pyrrha, sailed until the waters had receded. Deucalion and his wife were the last two humans on Earth.
When they finally hit land, Deucalion thought about what his father had told him. Prometheus told him to throw the Great Mother's bones over his shoulder.
Deucalion knew that the Great Mother was Earth, so the Earth's bones must be stones! He went and told Pyrhha about his discovery.
He and Pyrhha started throwing rocks over their shoulders. The stones turned into humans and soon, they had started the human race again.
