Good doesn't always prevail
By Abigail always pleading that she's innocent, lying to the court, and accusing people of being witches, she escapes being in trouble because nobody accuses the person who accuses, while Proctor is just trying to get the truth.
By Proctor trying to prove all of the innocent people as innocent, he was accused of witchcraft too, Abigail says sorry and begs him to leave with her but he stays and gets hung with the rest of the innocent people, so that he can keep his good name with God.
