  • Challenge
  • Challenge
  • Challenge
  • Pudge's next challenge is physical. He is hazed by a couple of "weekday warriors", rich kids who stay on campus for five days a week then reside at their mansions in Birmingham on the weekends. In the middle of the night, they grab him out of his bed, take him to the lake, duct tape his arms to his sides, and then throw him in.
  • Temptations
  • Alaska and the Colonel plan a huge prank night including them, Takumi, Lara, and Pudge. They all give the dean excuses to leave campus and then they hang out in the barn. The plan was to have Pudge and Takumi light fireworks on the dean's porch, Lara would put blue dye in the hair gel and conditioner of some of the weekday warriors who hazed Pudge, and then Alaska and the Colonel would print out fake progress reports for 23 weekday warriors, including the ones who hazed Pudge.
  • Abyss
  • Pudge, Alaska, and the Colonel are hanging out in Pudge's and the Colonel's room one night and they decide to play truth or dare. Alaska dares Pudge to kiss her and he does, finally Pudge finally tells Alaska that he loves her, although she is asleep and does not hear him. Suddenly in the middle of the night, she frantically leaves campus with the help of the Colonel and Pudge, although they do not know why she needs to leave.
  • Revelation
  • The temptation is Alaska herself. Pudge becomes distracted from finding his "Great Perhaps" and focuses on romanticizing Alaska.
  • The morning after Alaska leaves campus, the dean wakes up all the students and gathers them to tell them some sad news. Pudge and the Colonel assume that the Old Man died until they see him walk into the room and it was revealed that Alaska was in fact the one who died. She was driving somewhere and she crashed the car. Pudge and the Colonel are deeply saddened and embrace.
  • Pudge starts to think abot Alaska and what her last words were before she died. He starts to think about the labyrinth and death more and more after the accident. He starts to think of death as something that is more inevitable.
