Macbeth Act 1 Scene 3
By cbujdei, Updated
As Macbeth and Banquo stumble upon these three witches in the woods, they announce that Banquo and Macbeth will both eventually become kings.
Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none. So all hail, Macbeth and Banquo!
Macbeth judges the witches for making false predictions, denying their claims and dismissing them in anger.
King of Cawdor? The Thane of Cawdor is prosperous! With this strange intelligence, I charge you to leave.
Banquo and Macbeth discuss who will be the next king, insisting each other to take the throne.
You shall be king.
Your children shall be kings.
