Which way ran he that killed Mercutio?
There lies that Tybalt.
Tybalt, my cousin! O, the blood is spilled of my dear kinsman. For blood of ours, shed blood of Montague.
Benvolio, who began this bloody fray?
Tybalt, here slain, whom Romeo's hand did slay.
Benvolio is a kinsman to the Montague. He speaks not true. Romeo slew Tybalt, Romeo must not live.
Romeo slew him, he slew Mercutio. Who now the price of his dear blood doth owe?
Not Romeo, Prince, he was Mercutio's friend
But he ended the life of Tybalt, and for that offence immediately do we exile him hence.
