  • We need help! France is in debt!
  • The Tennis Court Oath
  • we shouldn't pay taxes if the first two estates won't.
  • The Storming of the Bastille
  • we've had enough!
  • This was the first meeting of the estates and they were brought together because France was having financial problems.
  • The March of Versailles
  • We deserve our rights!
  • The Tennis Court Oath is when the third estate met whenever possible until they get what they want; equality. Now consider themselves, "the National Assembly"
  • The Reign of Terror
  • NO DON'T KILL ME IM TOO YOUNG TO DIE!!
  • The first start of the Revolution. occurred after weeks of stalemate. This was a fortress known as a royal authority; monarchy. Bastille was aggressively attacked by a bunch of angry people.
  • The Rise of Napoleon
  • The women were not happy with the declaration of rights. 6,000 women marched from Paris to Versailles to declare their rights. On a rainy day on October 5.
  • This was a period of violence between the Jacobins and Girondins. People were publicly executed by the guillotine. Rumors spread around France that identified they will come and murder anyone.

  • Napoleon rose to power through the military in 1789. Eventually he crowned himself emperor in 1804. He supported the Jacobins.
