When Cynthia Ann Parker was 9 years old, her family moved to Texas on a farm in Central Texas and built Fort Parker.
Comanche's later came and attacked their town. 5 people were taken captive by the Indians including her and her brother John
Her Bother and the other captives were eventually released but she had to stay with the Indians. She eventually married Peta Nocona and had 3 children. One of them was Quanah Parker.
Texas Rangers found the Indian tribe and asked her to come home. Cynthia said that she wouldn't because she had a family and she considered herself Indian.
Eventually Cynthia went home with her daughter after her husband died. Her sons stayed with the tribe.
After she went home, Cynthia wasn't allowed to leave. Her daughter later died, leaving Cynthia heartbroken. She later starved herself to death in 1870.
