The first cell represents erosion. Erosion is the process that wears down and carries away rock and soil.
The second cell represents deposition. Deposition is the process in which sediment is laid sown in new locations.
Evaporation: solar energy causes water on earth's surface to evaporate. It occurs over large bodies of water.
Condensation: as warm air rises, it expands and cools. Colder air can hold less water vapor than warm air, so it condensates.
Precipitation: rain, snow, sleet, or hail. When the ice crystals in clouds get too heavy, gravity causes them to fall.
Water cycle: the continuous movement of water among the oceans, atmosphere, and land.
