Montressor chains Fortunato against the wall and beings to build a wall in front of him. Fortunato is scared but he doesn't fully realize what is happening. This scene is the climax because it's the turning point in the story.
Fortunato is left down in the catacombs to die. Montressor gets away with his revenge plot. This scene is the resolution because it's the end of the story.
