Storyboard Text

  • Montresor finds Fortunato at carnival and tells him about the amontillado
  • Fortunato knows a lot about wine and wants to see the amontillado (he is currently drunk)
  • Monstresor slowly brings Fortunato away from the crowd to the catacombs, where he says he's keeping the amontillado
  • We chose this scene because it looks like carnival and a party. We included color because it;s a fun time and the people are happy. We made the sky dark because it's at night but also because Montresor is planning something bad.
  • Montresor repeatedly tells Fortunato not to keep going and he's too sick, but Fortunato says he's fine
  • We chose this background because they were walking to get to the amontillado. The sepia color effect makes it seem more old-timey. Fortunato's costume has red because he is going with Montresor who ends up killing him.
  • Fortunato keeps asking where the amontillado is while Montresor slowly bring him into a hole and Fortunado looks for it
  • We chose this scene to show they were leaving carnival and going down to a cave. The light is blurred since Fortunato is getting drunker and drunker.
  • Montresor chains Fortunato up and seals up the hole and traps him to get his revenge for when Fortunato insulted him
  • This shows they are entering the catacombs. Fortunato is wearing black because he is even closer to death.
  • We chose this scene because it is like a hole in a cave like in the story. Fortunato is in black and dark red because he is an inch from death. Montresor is wearing red and black because he is closest to killing Fortunato. Also his eyes are red to make him seem more evil.
  • We chose this scene because it is like bricks and rocks being put into the hole to fill it up.
