Jane Goodall was born and raised in London, England where she attended an all girls school. But, she wanted to go somewhere to study animals at a young age.
I'm stuck here, in London. Why can't I be somewhere with animals?
In 1960, Goodall was sent for her job to Africa to observe chimpanzees. She went with her mother and an African cook to the island.
Within two years of being there, the animals accepted her presence, and came to her in search of bananas. She learned how much these brilliant animals are like humans.
These animals are amazing!!! I can't believe I live here now!
While she was watching the chimpanzees, by mimicking their behavior, she found that they have a social system, and use tools to get food and fight with one another.

At 83, Jane Goodall is still traveling the world, and teaching others about the animals she spent so long studying. She helps their species to survive. She has lived for these animals for her whole life, and will forever be remembered.
