What I am doing is fire. It is a chemical reaction because fire burning changes the properties of the thing it is burning, so it can't go back to the way it was.

When a small flame starts a forest fire ,which often happens in nature, there is a big chemical reaction.
Forest fires are caused by a big number of things. For instance, a forest fire can get started by cigarettes, camp fires, lightning, etc
Another chemical reaction is,a marshmallow reacting to the fire. Making the marshmallow turn into a crispy smore.
The fire creates heat below the marshmallow, making the carbon molecules in the sugar change. So the marshmallow can't go back to the way it was.
