  • Battle Of Shiloh
  • -First Major Battle of the Civil War(Also known as Battle of Manassas) -North realized they underestimated the South -Attack Richmond (Confederate) Won by the Confederate Army (General Johnston's Army)
  • Battle Of Antietam
  • -This was the first battle to use iron clads. -Boats used to originally burn and sink, but now that technology has upgraded, they could now fight on open water with boats made of iron instead of wood. -U.S.S MONITOR VS C.S.S VIRGINIA 
  • Battle Of Gettysburg
  • -Battle Of Shiloh Took place in Southwestern Tennessee -Union Army won This Battle -Was first major battle in Western Theater.
  • Battle Of Vicksburg
  • -On September 17, 1862, Mclellan and Robert Lee battled each other's armies in Sharpsburg, Maryland. -Mclellan's army won against the confederate side. -Bloodiest battle ever fought in Civil War.
  • -On July 1, 1863, Confederate and Union generals sought out to fight. -The fiercest battle of the Civil War was located in Gettysburg, Pennsyvania. -Union Army ran out of bullets, so they charged with bayonets. This is known as "Pickett's Charge".
  • On May 18- July 4, 1863, Union General Grant and Confederate General Pemberton fought out on the battlefield. -32697 TOTAL Casualties(Kidnappings, Murders, Surrenders, etc) -Union Army wins
