  • In 1329, a girl was born into a peasant family and was named Joan of Arc. One day she heard a voice say her name, turned around and no one was there. She becan to become very afriad, but later on got used to them. One voice she heard was from god, saying to go fight for her country.

  • The commander final approved Joan to fight, she cut off all her hair and replaced her red dress with men's clothing. She also wore her own special suit that Charles had made for her. She then predicted that there was a  sword behind a chruch, so people went to go look for it and they found a sword.
  • Joan's first challenge as a leader was to free Orleans,  they all feared that if they didn't win they would lose all of France. Joan was hit by an arrow, but didn't die. After defeating the English, three days later Joan attacked Orleans its self.  She lead her troop across a moat and flead Orleans.

  • Joan had abandoned her trope, so they became tired of fighting. When did her surprise attack, she had lost a lot of solders and only had 300 when they attacked. The English saw Joan and her trope coming, so they closed the drawbridge, trapped them and put Joan in prison. 
  • In 1431 in Rouen, the English and Catholic church put Joan on trial for heresy and witchcraft. They though they could undermind Charles to the french throne if the could prove that Joan was not guided by god to join the war.  Joan warned the bishop, and said " I am sent from god, and you are putting yourself in great danger." 
  • In 1455, Joan of was found innocent on all charges when her parents asked to reopen her case. In 1920, Joan was now recognized  as a Catholic Saint.Saint Joan is one of the most beloved of French heroes. She inspired her country. She proved that women could be brave and leaders
