  • Alexander's reactions #1 -Eliminated people who threatened his right to the throne
  • Im Aeropus
  • Im Arrhabaeus
  • Im Alexander
  • Alexander's Reaction #2 -Alexander carried out a state funeral from his father
  • Alexander's Reaction #3 -Alex asserted his dominance over the Greeks
  • I can now control Greece and lead the invasion of Persia.
  • Since my father has died, I am now Leader of the League of Corinth
  • The three Lyncestian brothers from the house of Lyncestis.
  • Alexander executed the Lyncestian Brothers because they potentially wanted the throne to themselves. Plus thought they were part of a conspiracy
  • Alexander executed both Aeropus and Arrhabaeus, but not the third brother, Alexander. This is because Alexander was Antipater's son-in-law, but also becuase he he greeted Alexander witht he words 'Hail King of Macedonia'
  • Alexander held a state funeral for his father. This showed the Macedonians that he was a loyal son who was intelligent and had the same principals/ideas as his father. This was to win their support.
  • Alexander promised the Macedonian noblemen....
  • 'The king changed only in name and that the state would be run on principals no less effective than those of this father's admiration
  • Alexanders personal advisors said that he should not worry about Greece, who were currently revolting after they heard the news of Philip's death. But J.R. Hamilton said that "the young kids would not abandon control of Greece".
  • Alexander took his army south and most Greeks asked for peace and according to Arrian, "gave Alexander even greater honours than his father Philip before him".
  • This shows Alex to be Ruthless in protecting himself (personal safety). He is not afraid to use violence (has a violent nature). Or that he has a big ego( third brother)
  • This shows Alex was a good political strategist because by holding a public funeral he was able to gain the support of the Macedonian nobility. This also shows him as intelligent and he thought hard about his public image.
  • This reaction of Alexander reveals that he was very Ambitious and Confident in his ability to rule Greece and lead a successful invasion into Persia.
