Storyboard Text

  • I'm the top doctor of the whole building!
  • I'm sorry, but nurses aren't allowed at this party.
  • I'm sorry, but this $20 bag might be a bit much for you.
  • Are you kidding me?! I have $50 ready to spend!
  • Hi, how are you?
  • He look's scary! Don't talk to him.
  • This happens a lot, where just because someone has a different skin tone, they seem like their in a lower class. In this example, the doctors are having a breakfast. However, this doctor is assuming that the other doctor is a nurse just because she's black. However, in reality, her skin tone makes no difference to the way she is, and sh, with everyone else, should be accepted no matter what race they are.
  • This is another big example of racial discrimination and profiling. Something just like this happened to Oprah when she went to another country. They told her she couldn't buy a bag, since "it was too expensive for her", even though she has a lot of money. People are judged by their skin tone for the wrong reasons. Just because someone is black, or looks different doesn't mean that they have any less money or class. This woman is accusing a black woman of not having enough money, even though that's not the case. We should look inside, and really understand someone before judging them in some way, even though you should never judge.
  • This isn't anyone's fault exactly, but it is something that needs to be changed. people are assuming that someone is bad or dangerous just from their looks and skin tone. This boy is scared of the man, just because he's black. Would it have been different if the man were white. While there's nothing wrong with walking away, they shouldn't be judged just because of their color. While a lot of bad things are happening, it's not just one race or one group. We need to keep an open-mind and understand that we live in a diverse world where people are different, but that it doesn't affect their thoughts and actions.
